My passion for the food industry was ignited at an early age. That passion got me here: Owner and CEO of Edlong, an innovative and globally recognized leader in dairy and dairy-free flavors and the industry’s only certified woman-owned flavor house.
Since acquiring the company from my family, we’ve grown Edlong’s business by 80 percent, scaled and united the team, and I’ve defined what I like to call my “Untamed Leadership.” My purpose has become clear.
Since becoming President and CEO in 2012, Edlong’s business has experienced unprecedented growth, we’ve scaled and united the team by creating a culture of authentic belonging, and I’ve felt the growth and evolution of myself as an “untamed” leader and change agent.
While I set forth to build a successful company, I’ve realized that I want my legacy to be much bigger than that—to be a beacon of light who inspires others to shine their light and courageously seek, discover, and own their own legacy. I am working to kick doors open to a new era of possibilities and potential in this industry and beyond. And, I’m encouraging both fellow leaders and younger generations to do the same.
I stand by Edlong’s core value of “enriching the lives of those we touch” and believe that we can collectively change the world for the better. First, by defining the legacy we each wish to leave behind—and then, by bravely taking ownership of it.

Covering a range of business and leadership topics, my distinguished guests share the inspiring stories that made them who they are. Their vulnerability gives others permission to risk, fail, and try again. “It is a journey made by walking.” The journey is that much more fulfilling together.

Different from any other flavor house, Edlong focuses exclusively on dairy and dairy-type flavors. We are sought after for our expertise and consultative approach. We solve problems others simply can’t. This is how long-term relationships are built. Our greatest joy is standing shoulder to shoulder with our developers, helping them shine in their market, and creating the next new rockstar product or saving an old one from extinction because it needed a refresh.

Across all industries, and the food industry especially, aspiring leaders need mentors who can show them how to succeed without compromising who they are. By leveraging the lessons I’ve learned over the course of my career, I hope to empower you to courageously follow your dreams, find out what lights you up, and fearlessly discover and embrace the impassioned or heartfelt spirit inside of you.
The food industry has so much to offer and has a culture of inclusion and creativity. Its plethora of careers, from operations, science, marketing, supply chain, regulatory, to human resources…is so exciting to me!
